Innovative Driven is currently seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Accounting & Billing Administrator to join the team at a well-respected, collegial law firm client. The role will be hybrid, with three days onsite in Wilmington, and two days remote.

Ideal candidates for the role must have at least two years of previous accounting/billing experience from within a law firm.

DUTIES:

• Process vendor invoices and firm expenses for payment
• Ensure proper coding, approvals, and compliance with internal policies
• Prepare and schedule electronic payments and check runs
• Maintain vendor records and W-9s for 1099 compliance
• Generate and distribute client invoices using Clio
• Track and follow up on outstanding receivables
• Apply client payments and retainer deposits accurately in QuickBooks and Clio
• Assist with client billing inquiries and adjustments
• Coordinate monthly billing cycles and deadlines
• Collaborate with attorneys to ensure timely and accurate time entries
• Manage billing templates, rates, and invoice formatting in Clio
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
• Support month-end and year-end close processes

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least two years of experience in accounting or billing from within a law firm
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
• Working knowledge of Clio (or similar legal practice management software)
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or Desktop
• Familiarity with legal billing processes and trust accounting
• Experience with LEDES billing or client-specific billing guidelines
• Background in trust/IOLTA account compliance
