Director of Front-End Revenue Cycle

We’re seeking a highly motivated Director of Front-End Revenue Cycle to drive excellence across patient access, financial clearance, and billing intake functions at a well-established healthcare organization headquartered in Austin. This is an onsite leadership opportunity where you’ll directly impact the patient experience and organizational financial performance.

What You’ll Do

As the Director of Front-End Revenue Cycle, you’ll lead large teams responsible for critical functions such as:

• Patient Access & Scheduling – Oversee and improve processes related to patient intake and appointment coordination.
• Insurance Verification & Authorizations – Ensure timely verification of benefits and authorizations to support successful reimbursement and patient throughput.
• Document Intake & Management – Establish robust workflows for managing clinical documentation and referral materials.
• Financial Counseling – Lead initiatives to educate and assist patients in understanding their financial responsibilities and payment options.
• Billing Coordination – Partner with downstream revenue cycle teams to support accurate, efficient billing and minimize delays.

You'll work cross-functionally to drive innovation, enhance operational efficiency, and elevate both staff engagement and the patient journey.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, with at least 7 years in leadership roles.
• Demonstrated success managing large, multi-functional teams in a complex healthcare environment.
• Strong knowledge of payer rules, prior authorization workflows, and financial clearance strategy.
• Ability to identify gaps, implement process improvements, and lead change with confidence.
• Skilled in managing KPIs, aligning goals with strategic priorities, and fostering team accountability.
• High emotional intelligence, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
