Position Overview:
The Interim HR Manager/Consultant will oversee day-to-day HR operations while mentoring and developing our current HR Assistant into a future HR Manager role. This role requires a hands-on HR professional with strong leadership, coaching, and payroll experience (Paycor preferred) to ensure smooth operations and compliance while fostering professional growth within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage day-to-day HR operations, serving as the primary HR resource during the interim period.
• Mentor, train, and guide the current HR Assistant with the goal of preparing them for a manager-level role.
• Oversee full-cycle payroll processing using Paycor , ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
• Support employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with state and federal labor laws.
• Provide guidance on HR best practices, policies, and procedures to strengthen HR infrastructure.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives as needed.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure HR aligns with organizational goals and supports a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; HR certifications (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SCP) a plus.

5+ years of progressive HR management/generalist experience, preferably in financial services or a regulated industry.
