Position Overview

Aris Amplify has partnered with a healthcare manufacturing firm in Houston, Texas, in its search for a Legal Compliance Manager. The ideal candidate will hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Management

  • Draft, review, negotiate and manage a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, leases, service contracts and employment agreements.
  • Maintain a centralized contract repository and ensure timely renewals, amendments and terminations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contract terms align with business objectives and legal requirements.
  • Update and maintain contract templates to reflect current legal and regulatory standards.

Compliance Oversight

  • Manage business licenses and registrations, ensuring timely renewals and adherence to local, state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on company operations.
  • Maintain documentation related to compliance activities, including certificates of insurance, waivers and pre-qualification documents.
  • Coordinate internal audits and assist with external regulatory reviews.
  • Serve as a point of contact for compliance-related inquiries and provide guidance to internal teams.

Reporting and Communication

  • Compile and analyze data for ad hoc reports to support legal, compliance and executive leadership.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, attorneys and internal departments to resolve issues and ensure alignment.
  • Educate internal teams on contract and compliance processes and requirements.

General Duties

  • Support corporate leadership with special projects and initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, integrity and teamwork.
  • Adhere to company policies, safety standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in legal studies, business administration, accounting, paralegal studies or an equivalent combination of education.
  • Proven experience in contract management and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and contract law.
  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems.
  • Strong negotiating, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to navigate multiple data management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively to ensure timely and accurate task completion.
