Location: Hybrid – Winston-Salem, NC (3 days in-office / 2 days WFH)

Overview:

Our client, based in Winston-Salem, NC , is seeking an Payroll Accountant to join their team! This role is responsible for processing payroll, administering benefits, and supporting overall employee experience through accurate and timely service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process biweekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
• Maintain and update employee records related to compensation, benefits, and deductions.
• Administer benefit programs including health, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, and leave of absence tracking.
• Provide timely support to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries.
• Assist with open enrollment, benefits renewals, and related communications.
• Prepare payroll reports and reconcile benefits invoices in coordination with Finance and HR.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations.
• Support audits, filings, and reporting as required.
• Experience processing Credit card reconciliations
• Assist finance team with forecasting
• Experience with financial reporting

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of recent experience in payroll and benefits administration.
• Prior experience with Paylocity is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and employee benefits.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with a high degree of professionalism.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Work Arrangement:

This role follows a 3/2 hybrid schedule , with three (3) days per week required in the Winston-Salem office and two (2) days remote.
