This client specializes in advanced plastic injection molding solutions for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, supporting both production and service operations. If you’re passionate about building long-term customer partnerships and driving growth in a fast-paced environment, this role may be the right fit for you.

Salary

Up to $110,000 annually (fixed cap; not negotiable)

**We want to be transparent upfront so candidates have clear expectations. This opportunity is designed for someone looking to grow into higher-level responsibilities, rather than a senior or lead-level sales position.

Overview

Our client is a leading international manufacturer of high-quality plastic components serving the automotive industry. Known for its innovation, global reach, and commitment to continuous improvement, the organization combines advanced manufacturing expertise with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the Key Account Manager, the Sales Account Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding OEM and Tier 1 customer accounts. This includes supporting daily commercial activities, overseeing program deliverables, and identifying new business opportunities. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams to ensure profitability, customer satisfaction, and alignment with corporate strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and strengthen external customer relationships through effective communication, professionalism, and delivering on expectations.
  • Leverage industry network and relationships to generate new business opportunities.
  • Manage assigned accounts to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Support development of sales strategies aligned with corporate goals.
  • Coordinate commercial activities across functions including engineering, quality, quoting, negotiations, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate data, manage internal sales systems, and track/report updates to leadership.
  • Lead sales activities to meet deliverables, tasks, and negotiations.
  • Provide monthly reporting on revenue, profitability, and business planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and lead responses to RFQs for new business.
  • Oversee cost accumulation, pricing strategies, and closure of commercial issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of OEM sales experience with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive supplier.
  • Proven track record of new business development and account growth.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong business acumen with solid understanding of the full sales cycle.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
