Job Description

New Edge Associates is collaborating with a reputable banking partner that is currently hiring a detail-oriented and customer-focused Senior Loan Processor in Miami, FL.

The Senior Loan Processor executes with accuracy and compliance the processes and procedures required to process mortgage loan applications

Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing loan applications and supporting documentation collected by Mortgage Loan Officers (“MLO”) in order to properly determine if the documentation meets the requirements for underwriting review and approval
  • Working closely with transaction services and underwriting to ensure timely processing of loan files and meeting established company and transaction deadlines including contractual contingency and closing dates
  • Collaborating with internal lending departments, working cohesively as a team with origination, underwriting, closing/post-closing, and funding, when needed
  • Assuming all responsibility for loan processing tasks generated by the Loan Origination Systems throughout the life of the loan and escalating issues that may negatively impact a transaction
  • Maintaining high levels of customer service and strong relationships with borrowers/customers (may include realtors, attorneys, and/or builders)
  • Gathering loan conditions and verifying the accuracy of the documentation in order to meet conditions of loan approval including, but not limited to customer income/assets documentation and maintaining Loan Origination System data integrity
  • Ordering credit report and appraisals; and working with Wholesale & Retail Residential Lending Officers to resolve appraisal disputes (as needed)
  • Generating loan documentation and evidence of insurance
  • Working closely with title companies as needed to assure title commitments meet loan requirements
  • MAptos (Body) maintaining and managing a pipeline of up to 50 active loans, meeting industry turn around times and the organization goals related to closing dates

Qualifications

  • Must have experience in both Commercial and Residential loans.
  • 3+ years of experience in the residential lending arena
  • 2+ years operating as an active mortgage loan processor
  • High School or Equivalency required. Associates degree preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
